Role of nanocurcumin on experimentally induced alpha-amanitin toxicity in rats

Alpha-amanitin is considered to be the main toxin present in mushroom species of Amanita phalloides and it possibly most deadly all amatoxins. The aim this study was test whether nanocurcumin could revert hepatic damage experimentally induced rats, tested with following protocols: Group I served as negative control group (PBS @1ml/kg p.o), II positive (α-AMA @0.2 ml/kg p.o single dose), III Standard dose + silymarin @100 mg/kg p.o.), IV curcumin @800 V @200 VI @400 VII p.o) for four consecutive weeks. Our results showed that after 24 hours administration serum transaminase, urea, BUN creatinine found increased whereas, Total protein (TP) haemoglobin decreased significantly This treatment Nanocurcumin were also compared silymarin. overall suggest induces a beneficial effect by improving functional parameters particularly alpha-amanitin hepatotoxicity rats.
